Mixed seeds in your salads

The warmer weather should be sparking your interest in the salads we can prepare for our lunches and dinners.

An easy way to make a side salad a visual and tasty feast is to top it with a blend of nuts and seeds. This increases the variety of flavours, changes the texture and adds protein.

Lettuce, tomato, cucumber and capsicum suddenly becomes a bit more interesting!

You can buy them prepackaged or make your own blend of sesame, pepita, flaked almonds  etc.

Sprinkle them on top, and mix them through just before you serve.

I’ve really been enjoying this idea.

A few slices of avocado in there too, maybe some orange if the weather is warmer! Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

I never thought I would be much good and making a salad, but this is so easy and you almost can’t go wrong.
